The game is one of Microgaming’s best looking titles in recent years. A lot of that is owed to the backdrop, letting us admire the land of sweets from the skies above. The art team went all out, producing a mouthwatering view that lives up to the term eye candy.

Our impressions of the symbols are a bit more mixed. The playing card royals are somewhat stylised but still feel out of place in Sugar Craze Bonanza. We would have removed them altogether or attached them to other candies. The remaining paying icons are several sweets, each with a different colour and shape. A multi-coloured candy is the Scatter symbol, while the slot’s logo is Wild.

The game has a few exciting animations, which primarily play when bonus features activate. Our favourite is the one that triggers before the Free Spins feature starts, spinning a multi-coloured candy wheel.

Even if you aren’t craving treats, this game has a few ways to sweeten your life. The 5x4 layout with 1,024 ways to win offers a larger-than-usual playing area, leaving more room for payouts and bonus features.
